My Favorite Show?

If you enjoy fantasy and the evolution of magical girl transformation shows, then you may enjoy watching television with me sometime. My favorite show is Winx Club. The show is about a group of magical girls that work with their fairy powers and fight evil. The main series currently has seven seasons, with an eighth (sort of rebooted) season coming out now. You find a transformation clip below that is from the sixth season.

The Best Music?

     Over the years, a person will take a liking to many different artists and/or genres of music. I have undergone the transition from listening to alternative to listening to all sorts of rock. I enjoy rock as a genre because of the passion, energy and chaotic sound. Rock is also springling easy to use as background noise, but where else can you listen to great guitar riffs and all sorts of grunge and punk beats? A band that I am personally interested in is Kiss, Detroit Rock City is below. 

Ready, Player One? To What Level Will Technology Advance?

Ready Player One is an enticing and surprisingly relevant literary work. I personally enjoyed the references to old video games and the way that this knowledge blends into the book. However, the most important thing to take from the story is the reality of the situation it's set in. Everyone in the story is immersed in the world of virtual reality and the line between that and real life is blurry, with physical life now more irrelevant. Schooling in this tale is done in VR, for Pete's sake. This piece made me more aware of the possibility of that level of advancement, and it's scary. There are so many more topics that pop up in the text, such as corporate advertisement/management in the game industry, that we could be here all day. This work is enjoyable and thought-provoking; it is worth the read.

My Favorite Video Game?

There are so many video games that I enjoy playing so I will list just one. The Sims 4 is a sandbox game that lets you control the lives of fake people (sims). There are are many different ways you can have their sims live out their lives, all readily available within the game. I personally like this game because it's enjoyable for me and I can also create content with it (such as sims machinima). The Sims is constantly striving to be open and inclusive to all players and receives feedback well from its community. For example, when The Sims 4 Cats and Dogs was released on November 10th, the first homosexual NPC couple was added to the game. The Sims community is closely bonded together and players can easily find themselves immersed in it. For these reasons, you may find benefit in playing this game.
