The Writing Life by Annie Dillard

This text reminds us of the fact that writing takes time and that every detail should be taken into account. Dillard's relate-ability, use of metaphor, and somewhat personal attack on the reader work in her favor. Sometimes when you write, you become unjustifiably attached to the worst part of your work. You convince yourself that you can't live without this moment in the story. The harsh truth that I refuse to accept is that what I have come to write is utter rubbish. Sometimes you need someone there to tell you that this piece of your writing needs to be looked over. After reading this text, I looked over some of my old work and saw that what I had completed was not at all what I wanted. This text just yells out, "Wake up and smell the coffee!"

What are you passionate about?

What am I passionate about (other than writing)? Well, one of my passions is for Greek mythology. I mainly study the 12 Olympians and a currently reading up on the Trojan War for fun. I enjoy educating people on Greek Mythology and would be glad if I could do so for you. Ask my totally rad friend (Pericles, a great Athenian leader) and I anything you would like to know about Greek Mythology. I will try my best to answer.

Book Review: Tears of a Tiger

The Book Tears of a Tiger  was an interesting epistolary novel. An epistolary novel provides (in my opinion) a simpler and fun way to do dialogue between characters. Although I wouldn't suggest it for 3+ characters. The book was somewhat predictable but overall a powerful novel. If you haven't read it yet, perhaps you could pick it up sometime.

Welcome!

Bonjour! I am a writing student and here is where I will place some of my stuff! If you like, stick around. Comments are appreciated.
