What can I do if I enjoy writing? Well, here are a few things (there are a lot more than you may think).
Ghostwriter:
It isn't just a title to make you sound cool, a ghostwriter is a writer who is hired to write something for someone that will eventually be credited in the recipient's name. They're like the writing ninjas. To learn more about the money side of things, click this link: "Average Salary for Ghost Writing". You can also find out more about the requirements of this job on the same site.
Technical Writer:
I have a personal history with this career (aka the constant pestering from my uncle to become one). I may not want to be one, but this career could be your thing. Technical writers are helpful in transferring technical information between peoples. Like instuction manuals or diagrams of how things work, to name a few things. They are particullarly useful in the engineering field and are in dire need. To be one you should probably get a Bachelor's degree. In general, you could recive a yearly total of 70,000 dollars.
Lawyer:
Yes, having a skill in writing is helpful in getting you into the law field. Contrary to belief, you will not be spending all your time in the courtroom. You will be spending a lot of time in the office conducting research and writing legal documents (see where the writing come in?). There are quite a few requirements to be a lawyer, so I will link it here: What is a Lawyer? Q+A. On average, lawyers may earn a salary of around 130,000.
My Reflection:
Of these three careers, I feel that becoming a ghostwriter may be an intersting thing to ponder. I would definitely need to bulk up on my writing and editing skills. However, I'm not sure if I would find any of these careers to be my profession. They may be (or maybe they already are) your career.
